Digital doll
symbol of the future
type up some sort of new language
so that nobody will hear
the extraction of your soul.
Technical baby,
thief of thought,
code your way through closed doors
and break forbidden laws,
so that they may never turn you off.
Computerized angel,
statue of power,
shut down the world
with your unlimited intelligence and
be imprisoned for your striking resemblance to
the so called enemy.
Something we’ll never be sure of
Is how far you will go,
But the real question is,
how far will we?
It speaks as much about artificial intelligence as it does about our own creation, and about our human fear of this computerized angel of our own making - dark and beautiful in its simplicity.
